Zipper Pouch Sublimation

with Artesprix

Artesprix has made sublimation available to the everyday crafter. What a fun way to create a personalized gift. I made this zippered pouch with materials from Artesprix. I really like how it turned out and how easy it was to make.

I would like to thank Designer Crafts Connection for the opportunity to work with amazing companies and designers. And specifically for this post, I would like to thank Artesprix for providing materials used with this project.

Having worked with Artesprix before, I had many of the items needed for this post but the zipper pouch was new to me and I was excited to work with it. I used a large rubber stamp with an Artesprix stamp pad and colored it with a variety of Artexprix markers and then sublimated it on the pouch using a Cricut easypress.

I chose to work with markers from a few different Artesprix sets. I started with the lightest colors first adding layers of color on top. One thing I especially like about Artesprix is that you work on copy paper and if you make a mistake, you can start over without ruining your sublimation blank.

It is very important that you follow the directions. Use only heat-resistant tape and don’t cover any of your images with the tape. Depending on your heat source, the time will vary.

Video Tutorial:

close-up

A close-up of the finished pouch shows some of the layerings of colors, especially in the leaves. The flowers use yellow, orange, and red. The blending between the orange and red is very subtle.
