Dolphin Island is a family friendly movie about a girl’s relationship with her grandparents and their fight for her custody since her parents have passed. She lives at the dolphin sanctuary with her paternal grandfather on an island that her parents founded.

There are beautiful views of the island and the ocean. Dolphin interactions appear throughout the movie. While these actions are trained tricks, they fit into the story line well. The role of Mitzy the dolphin is played by two open ocean water dolphins.

A few exceptional acting roles stand out by Peter Woodward, playing her grandfather , and Dionne Lea, playing the role of the social worker.

I was a bit leery of the Mexican chocolate thinking it would be too spicy for my taste, but it wasn’t. They added the spice of red chilies and cinnamon but for someone that doesn’t like too much spice or heat, I’d say it just added a bit more heat and a very small kick, more of a bump if you will.

For a while my favorite flavor was milk chocolate and it still is a go to flavor for me. But I have broadened my palette with the six different flavors offered and most mornings I can reach into the box and just grab a k-cup and go with that flavor. Hot cocoa is my choice of a morning hot drink this winter. I also like coffee and tea but there is something about a creamy hot mug of cocoa in the morning that is special.

Simon & Schuster has released three new cookbooks. I was sent the 30 Minute Cooking From Frozen book. I requested to review this title because it spoke to me. Not so much because I am busy but more so because I am lazy! What you will find in this cookbook are recipes that are far from basic or simple looking results. Thumbing through the book I think I saw two out of one hundred recipes I actually had made before. I love that there is no pre-thawing required.
