Tag It Tuesday Birthday Edition

Inspired by a sticker, make a Birthday Tag for Tag it Tuesday.

A sticker inspired this week’s tag tutorial. I chose materials that matched the color scheme to build the tag. Open the tag to write a special greeting.

The tag was made using a variety of materials. I will add them at the bottom of the page. The stamp was from a kitchen stamp set provided by Kokorosa:

Making Recipe Cards

with Kokorosa

Using a stamp set from Kokorosa and a free printable recipe card template, I made these adorable recipe cards. The cards would make a great gift for a newly married couple, someone who requests a recipe, a child leaving the house for the first time, or even a new mom.

Making Little Houses with Kokorosa

These little houses were so fun to make using a die from Kokorosa. This is a great project to use up small pieces of cardstock. The dies also work well with small die-cutting machines.

The dies fit perfectly in a Sizzix Sidekick machine. I was able to cut a variety of little houses in no time at all. It was really fun to mix and match the different colors to make the houses.

Foil Technique and a Die

with Kokorosa

This card can be used for so many different occasions. I am not sure which makes it more beautiful, the die or the foil technique. Together they are exquisite.

Die-cut Card

with Kokorosa

I used my DIY Mixed Media Spray and a die from Kokorosa to make this beautiful card. I chose not to use a sentiment, leaving just the lovely image. The card turned out so nice that I wouldn’t mind framing the image.

I used Gold Stardream in 8.5 x 11 for the card. The metallic gold enhances the colors of the die-cut image.

The close-up image above shows the detail of the small shapes that cut out well along with the details of the color created by the media spray. The combination of the two is just amazing.

Valentine’s Day Cardmaking

with Kokorosa

This heart card was made with dies from Kokorosa, mica powder, and mineral powders. There were a few bumps along the way but they can always be resolved, sometimes in a different direction than planned. The technique has merit and I would use it again.

I set my die-cutting machine using double-sided tape to only cut through the double-sided tape, not the cardboard backing.

At the very top of the card front, you can see where I tested the different colors of powders.
