Shrink Plastic Necklace

Make a necklace from Shrink Film. #sponsored @graphixarts

I was sent a sample of Shrink Film from Grafix. I was so excited to see the film in silver and gold. I wasn’t aware of the color options. The gold was such a nice color for jewelry making. The technique I used was so simple and easy to do and the result is one of my favorite pieces.

How To Make Faux Leather Earrings

How to make faux leather earrings with a Cricut. Includes a free SVG file. How to Make Jewelry Using a Cricut Machine.

Making earrings with your personal die cutting machine is a current hot topic in crafting. I’ve done it before [see post here], but these leaf-like earrings are my newest design. This version of earrings was made using The Best Glue Ever by ScraPerfect. It really made making them and attaching the layers together easy. The tacky glue dries quickly but leaves enough time to maneuver the position of the layers.

How to Make Polymer Clay and Mica Earrings

What the entire process of making polymer clay earrings using mica powder.

This post is a part of the DCC (Designers Craft Connection) Group. We are sharing our favorite materials and products. For me, that was a bit difficult to choose as I like working with a variety of different materials. I ultimately chose to work with polymer clay and making jewelry. It is a material I have worked with for a long time, although I don’t post a lot about it.

Polymer Clay and UV Resin Earrings

I am really excited about the results I am achieving with this technique. I think I have only just scratched the surface of the possibilities. I really like how the paint (DecoArt Interference) changes from white to colors when applied to a dark surface. The UV Resin really enhances the colors and gives emphasis to the dimension. I’ve only made earrings so far but I look forward to making pendants and more. The colors are so pretty and work together well.
