paper

If you are looking for a great crafting-weight paper for printables, I have been using HP Project Paper. It is heavier than copier paper but not quite as heavy as cardstock. It is a great medium weight for layering, folding, and more!

printer

My go-to printer brand for years has been HP. I also use their ink supply service where I pay a monthly fee and they send me ink cartridges as needed. It comes out to be a lot less money this way and I don’t have to keep track because they do all the tracking for me. The HP Envy Inspire is a great-priced machine that will produce beautiful prints.

Washi Tape Tag with a Free Printable

Try this calming and creative washi tape tag technique—perfect for using your stash and making something beautifully unique!

finished tag

The beauty of this tag comes from the washi tape combination you choose—making it the perfect project for using up that ever-growing washi stash we crafters all know we have!

tag printable

The free printable contains three tags for you to craft with. It is a free PDF file you can download here: [tape tags]

While I decorated my tags with washi tape, you can easily expand their use by using other materials like paint, colored paper, markers, and more.

with rolls of tape

This technique is wonderfully flexible—while I used a different washi tape roll for each letter, you could simplify the look by limiting your tape choices, creating an alternating pattern, or even using a single roll for all the letters.

I loved finally putting my washi stash to good use, but what surprised me most was how peaceful and relaxing the whole process felt.

Collage Tag from a Free Printable

This week’s tag took a slightly different turn.

finished tag

This week’s tag project took a creative twist! What started as a simple tag turned into a full collage art piece using one of my free printables. It was so much fun to see how it evolved as I layered and arranged. Follow the tutorial to watch it come together step by step!

materials

I used a Japanese pattern printable to collage with, gluing it down with Zig, and then added wash tape in copper. You can grab the free printable below:

back

I decided to add a print and some washi tape to the back of the piece for a finished, layered look. It adds just the right touch of color — and I think it turned out beautifully!
