Freebie Friday – Painterly Cards

This week’s Freebie is a set of Painterly Floral Cards. They make a great starting base for so many different crafting techniques. Consider using them for business cards, artist trading cards, card fronts, ephemera, hidden paper clips, junk journals, glue books, color inspiration, and more…

This is a single 8.5″ x 11″ PDF file, however, you can change the size of the images in your printer dialog box to fit your craft needs.

My favorite printer brand for many years has been HP. I also use their ink supply service where I pay a monthly fee and they send me ink cartridges as needed. It comes out to be a lot less money this way. The HP Envy Inspire is a great-priced machine that will produce beautiful prints.

And if you are looking for a great crafting weight paper for printables, I have been using HP Project Paper. It is heavier than copier paper but not quite as heavy as cardstock. It is a great medium weight for layering, folding, and more!

Freebie Friday – Floral Music

Combining sheet music and flowers for these beautiful card fronts. You can change the size in your printer dialog and use them for other paper crafting.

Using Handmade Stash – Tag it Tuesday

finished tag

I originally made these materials for a project and then went in a different direction. So I decided to use them this week for Tag it Tuesday. I collaged the painted book page and then added the coordinating watercolor-painted flowers.

How to Make Ribbon Flowers

These Ribbon Flowers are very versatile. You could use them as craft embellishments or how about for clips in girl’s hair? I found them to be very comforting and peaceful to make, maybe even more therapeutic for me than for their final use.

How to Make Coffee Filter Flowers

I love how this coffee filter flower turned out. It was so fun to make. I know I will be making more of them because they are so applicable to different crafts. While I used this one on a card, the coffee filter flowers could be made in different sizes. Use them to decorate a scrapbooking page, a gift package, you could even use them for decor.

DIY Inexpensive Floral Embellishments

How to make inexpensive floral embellishments from Dollar Tree materials.

I have had so much fun making these colorful flowers. Would you believe me if I told you I spent a total of two dollars and I haven’t even made a dent in my supplies? OK, the colors came from a variety of products I already had on hand so I guess you could argue it costs more. I share with you a variety of different techniques so hopefully, it will cover some products you already own and will not need to purchase. Plus, you can make these flowers into the colors you need specifically for your craft project.

I found that placing the leaves on the back of the flowers left some glue dot uncovered, which could be used to adhere the flowers to my projects. I decided to place a glue dot on the back of all of the flowers and place them on a coated surface for storage.
