How to make a layered white on white rose card.

final card

I have a very pretty white-on-white card that could be used for a wedding, an anniversary, or just a special greeting. You can add your own sentiment or leave it as is.

I suggest this cut file for intermediate or above users.

basis card stock

The paper I used was Basis White Card Stock for the card. Basis White is so versatile. I love it for the foundation of most of my card making. It cuts and scores beautifully. At 80#, I choose to set my Cricut Maker at a card stock setting of 100# which works well even for small detailed cuts.

Cricut maker

I cut the file on a Cricut Maker. As a reminder, set the red lines to score and load your scoring tool before setting the file to cut.

card parts

There are three rose cuts for this card. You could choose to use only one or you could enlarge them if desired. I urge you to watch the video tutorial below for tips and techniques on how to weed these delicate cuts.

What a beautiful card that could be used for a wedding, an anniversary, or just a special greeting. You can add your own sentiment or leave it as is. I love how the neutral colors coordinate together. Three different papers were used to make this card.

The papers used were Stardream Metallic in Quartz for the card. Stardream is my favorite cardstock because it has a shimmer to the surface. Cut the floral element from MirriSparkle Glitter in Gold, and the vellum insert from Curious Translucent in Clear.

cricut

I cut the file on a Cricut Maker. As a reminder, set the red lines to score and load your scoring tool before setting the file to cut. Similar weight cardstocks can be cut at the same time. Set your machine to 100lb cardstock for the Stardream and the Gold Glitter and run the cut twice. Just push the go button again without removing your mat.

parts

The cut file has three parts to glue together. Any adhesive will work, I am using Reptile Craft Adhesive. I’ve placed it into a smaller bottle (as seen in the photo above). You can purchase the pearl gems at the Dollar Tree.

Rose Lined Card

with CutCardStock

As a part of the CutCardStock design team, I created an SVG file to create a rose-lined card. What a great file to be used for a greeting note, a sympathy note, or a wedding. In other words, it is so versatile in its use. You can choose to use an insert paper for additional color as I have with the red, or just leave the card as is. It is simple to make because your personal cutting machine does the work for you. All you need to do is possibly weed out a few pieces and fold.

Many of the items I use in my posts are provided by the manufacturers in order to promote their products.

White and Ivory card stocks are being featured this month on CutCardStock. I am using Classic Linen Card Stock in Solar White. You can change the card’s look by changing the color of the card stock or adding an insert liner.

Cricut Maker

On a Cricut Maker, set the file to cut at 100# cardstock and then cut the file twice. Without removing the mat after the first cut, just push the go button again.

remove from the mat

As mentioned above there are only a few materials needed to create this project. Use a personal cutting machine that works with an SVG file. The card is designed as A2 size. If your mat has lost a bit of adhesion, I recommend using washi tape on all four sides of the card stock to hold it in place.

I chose to cut a liner piece out of construction paper a bit smaller than the card. I used the Best Glue Ever in all four corners to attach it to the front inside panel of the card. Just fold along the scoreline and you are done.

A close-up of the finished card with the liner inserted is shown above. You can see the details and delicate thin lines that are cut with this design.

Making a Floral Friend Card and SVG

A free SVG file and materials list for making a Floral Friends Card as a part of the CutCardStock design team. #affiliate #sponsored @cutcardstock

Today I have a post up on the CutCardStock blog making the above friend card. This post contains the link to the free SVG cut file and material list.

I cut the SVG friend card file on a Cricut Maker. I cut two different colors at the same time since they were the same thickness.
