: 3 1/2 yards Nylon Net–72″ wide
: 1 dowel stick 18″ long–1/4 diameter
: 1 5×5 wood block
: 1 cardboard circle 8″ in diameter
: small ornaments, angel or ornament for top
: glitter
: cut one strip 15″ long x 72″ wide
: 14″ long x 72″ wide
: 13″ long x 72″ wide

: Fold strips in half starting with 15×72″, making it 7 1/2 x 72″. Run heavy basting thread close to fold 1/4″. Tie both ends of thread together as tightly as possible, tying several knots. Open material and ruffle. Slip disc over dowel stick which has been mounted in wood base. Round cardboard goes on first to support ruffle. Repeat for each strip. After all net discs have been placed on dowel stick, ruffle completely. Add small ornaments. Put glue on edges and add glitter for extra decorations.

Making earrings with your personal die cutting machine is a current hot topic in crafting. I’ve done it before [see post here], but these leaf-like earrings are my newest design. This version of earrings was made using The Best Glue Ever by ScraPerfect. It really made making them and attaching the layers together easy. The tacky glue dries quickly but leaves enough time to maneuver the position of the layers.

Using a Cricut Maker, I cut the faux letter
cut pieces of faux leather
using The Best Glue Ever
Once glued and in place, I used a tile to weight
the layered faux leather down.
Let dry overnight.
I used a T-pin to poke a hole in the faux leather and
attached a jump ring and earring wire.
Threading the crystals and finishing off the wirework
to make the finished earrings.
How to DIY a fairy lantern in a plastic bottle.
A DIY Fairy Lantern reminds me of childhood and stories of fantasy. It is really easy to make this fairy lantern. You don’t need a lot of materials and can personalize it as you desire. I made my fairy lantern in a plastic bottle so it is very kid-friendly and will not break. And, you can recycle a plastic bottle or jar to make your own fairy jar.

Download the free fairy SVG file.
Start with a clean bottle or jar
Using super glue, adhere the fairy to the inside of the jar. Don’t worry about the glue showing.
Cut the tissue paper to fit around the jar.
Cover the outside with mod podge
Line up the tissue paper and wrap it around the jar. Align the top edge, don’t worry about the bottom, it get’s tucked under. Wrinkles add to the personality, just be careful not to tear the tissue paper. Then cover it again with mod podge. Allow it to dry.
Decorate the rim as you desire. I used ribbon and paper cut out flowers.
Insert the flickering light and you are done!

With just a few simple materials you can make this beautiful hanging mobile. Today I am working with Maker’s Movement to bring you this tutorial. I just love how it turned out. I have it hanging in the doorway between my living room and dining room. My daughters noticed it and mentioned how pretty it is and the cats noticed it and are deciding whether or not they want to try and play with it!

I learned about dendrite painting by watching videos on YouTube. I knew I needed to try it. What I didn’t know was how addictive it was going to be. It was so much fun and the results have a variety of differences dependant upon what paint you use and the amount of paint. Then you can layer it and “try” to control it.

This is such a fun way to celebrate. It could be a birthday, wedding, anniversary, new job, graduation, so many different opportunities to etch a fun statement onto a bottle. For this post, I used Sparkling Cider but a bottle of wine or even a glass bottle of soda would work. The glass etching can take a drink to the next level making it a special statement I am sure one that will be appreciated.

Using Cricut design space on my phone I typed out the word I wanted to use, then I sent it to the Cricut Joy to cut out. It was so quick and easy. I could have added names and a date too.
I weeded the vinyl, removing the parts I want to etch, and used the transfer tape to place the vinyl on the bottle. Notice there are air bubbles and wrinkles, but they don’t matter as long at the seam along the letters is pressed tight to the glass.
Using a wooden popsicle stick I placed a generous amount of etching cream over the letters. I left it on the bottle for 15 minutes, following the Etchall directions. Then I removed it from the bottle using the same popsicle stick and put it back into the jar because Etchall cream is reusable. Because it was a small area, I was able to use a baby wipe to clean off the bottle and I removed the vinyl.
Here is the etched glass. I wanted to enhance the etching so I applied some rub-on metallic color in silver.
I used a q-tip to rub on the silver cream and then used a baby wipe to remove the excess. I really like the enhanced look.

Cricut has a variety of new infusible ink blanks. Cricut sent me a few samples in order to write this review and promote their new products. The new materials include cosmetic bags, pillow covers, wine bags, and toddler-sized t-shirts. I made my daughter this bag to hold her drawing supplies from the cosmetic bag set.

To begin, I created the graphic I used in Design Space. The following video tutorial shows you how that was done.
Cutting the infusible ink on the Cricut Maker.
On the mat, I aligned the cut to the center utilizing the blue and red section of the design.
Then I weeded away the parts I didn’t want.
Placing the infusible ink, if you look closely you will see a slight fold in the bag and the infusible ink.
This is a trick I use to align the center of the image and blank.
Using my heating guide, I set my EasyPress and pressed.
Using a warm peel, my project is done!
