This week’s freebie is a set of Victorian Butterflies. The colors are complimentary with your Victorian and vintage themes. I love the soft colors. This free PDF printable is great for all your paper crafting creations.

My go to printer brand for years has been HP. I also use their ink supply service where I pay a monthly fee and they send me ink cartridges as needed. It comes out to be a lot less money this way. The HP Envy Inspire is a great-priced machine that will produce beautiful prints.

And if you are looking for a great crafting weight paper for printables, I have been using HP Project Paper. It is heavier than copier paper but not quite as heavy as cardstock. It is a great medium weight for layering, folding, and more!

DIY Watercolor Butterfly Ephemera

Using stickers from the Dollar Tree you can watercolor them in a variety of different colors and designs. DIY ephemera is unique and can save you money. Using the sticker from the Dollar Tree was easy but you could alternately die-cut your shapes as well.

The close-up image gives you a better look at some of the details on the wings. This was a very relaxing and enjoyable project. I love the results just as much as the process of painting them.

Materials:

ribbons
scissors
sewing kit
flower stamens
lighter
tacky glue
glue bottle
paper punch (optional)

Here are the templates I used, although they are not necessary. You can just cut two squares of different sizes and round the corners.

Making 3D Butterfly Ephemera

Learn how easy it is to make 3D butterfly ephemera with this free printable. #butterflies #printable

Butterflies are popular for crafting and these 3D butterflies are fun to make. Download the free printable and make as many as you’d like. Even if you don’t have a current use, make some to have in your stash. You won’t regret it!

After printing out the free PDF file, fussy cut the butterflies out or use a Brother Scan n Cut to make the job easier. I used flower stamens for the antennae, a bit of glue to stack the butterfly shapes, and I added glitter glue to the edges of each butterfly. The video tutorial below will show you the easy process.

The photo above shows the butterflies at an angle. You can see the dimension of each one and the glitter on the edges.
