Tag it Tuesday

In last week’s tag tutorial, I tried creating a resist with water-based materials—but it didn’t quite work out. This week, I switched up my materials, and it was a success!

Making a resist is no secret—it’s simply a mix of water and oil. I layered water-based liquid ink over oil pastels to create the resist effect.
I began the tag with some ink smooshing, then, once it was dry, I drew on it with a white oil pastel. Painting over the design with water-based India ink created the resist effect. A sticker sentiment and a sprinkle of sequins were the perfect finishing touches.
