Mandala Card with SVG

This Just for you card took a bit of a turn from a Thank You card. The floral mandala shapes are generic enough to work for a variety of different card themes. The finished card is 4″ x 6″.

I have been sharing designs and SVG files with CutCardStock for a while but this is my last design team post. I have enjoyed my time with CutCardStock and the benefit of working with their products.

The card stock used for the card base is Solar White Linen Card Stock and the SVG design is cut from Spearmint Pop-Tone Card Stock. The Spearmint card stock is a lighter weight (65#) making it a great choice for layering.

Don’t forget to set the red line to score before cutting. The zipped file contains the design, the card shape, and one of the mandalas alone for your use. [mandala card svg]

I used my Cricut Maker to cut the file. Removing the mandala image wasn’t difficult but you do need to take your time and be gentle with it. Unfortunately the words “thank you” didn’t cut out well so I switched to a stamped and heat-embossed sentiment. I think the words would cut really well from vinyl so I am leaving them in the SVG file for you to choose how to use them.

With a bit of glue and attention to alignment, the card was easy to finish. The mandala image is a bit larger than the card so you can place it and cut off the hanging-over pieces making the alignment easier.

Video Tutorial:

Here is a close-up of the finished card. I added a few gems in the center of the floral images. I think they give the card a finishing touch.
