with etchall creme

Did you know you can etch a mirror? And it turns out beautifully! I used etchall crème to etch this mirror I picked up at Ikea, and I love the result. It’s going to hang in our main bathroom as a daily reminder to my daughters of just how beautiful they are.

Turn a simple Ikea mirror into something one-of-a-kind—just add etching!

After unwrapping, clean area to etch with rubbing alcohol. This removes any material that might be on the surface.

I cut my vinyl on a Cricut Maker. The cut lines were hard to see. Creatives often dust with powder to show the cut lines, but you can also gently rub the vinyl with a finger dauber that has ink on it.
TIP: Design a rectangular shape the width the my mirror centered around the word before cutting. This will help align the vinyl on the mirror.

After placing the vinyl onto the mirror, make sure there’s no lifting around the letters. Then apply etchall etching creme and allow it to etch for 15 minutes.
Put the used creme back into its container, it is reusable!
Wash the surface with soap and water, remove the vinyl and your project is finished.
Now all you have to do is hang up your mirror!
