Holy Land Illustrated Bible

Being a visual person, I was so excited to receive the Holy Land Illustrated Bible from Lev3l Digital. I enjoy the additional content that is included. In addition to the biblical text, there are images, maps, illustrations, and articles. This really helps envision the time and places.

Features include:

  • 1,200+ images, maps, and illustrations
  • 275 full-length commentary articles
  • 40+ “Digging Deeper” call-outs

In the image above, you can see for yourself how those additions are presented. The additional content is identified by the gray bar across the top of the page. Images are full color and contain explanations to go along with them, bringing you further in the context of the word. You can also see the ribbon bookmarks, there are two of them. The book is large and substantial.

How is it translated?

Developed by more than 100 scholars from 17 denominations, the Christian Standard Bible faithfully and accurately captures the Bible’s original meaning without compromising readability, helping you understand, experience, and share God’s Word.

This is a hard question as I have many favorites but I’m going to go with the book of John as it explains who Jesus is, the Son of God, love this book!
