Embossing and Inking

Tag it Tuesday

This week I am comparing the different looks you can get with embossing and inking. I started by testing two different spray bottles on Distressed Oxide ink and moved into embossing and inking. So a few different ways to compare results.

Video Tutorial:

Embossing is the raised surface being the positive image. In both of the tags above, the raised surface is inked.

The reverse of embossing is debossing where the image is sunken down into the paper. This is often the back side of a design but it can be used in crafting as well. In this case, the debossed image is left as is and the surface of the paper is inked making the debossing appear.
