I created these flower magnets as a fun back-to-school project for decorating lockers. However, their versatility extends beyond that—they can brighten up your home, enhance your fridge, or be used as charming decorative elements in various crafting projects.

They cost nothing for you to use.

This project was created for Gwen Studios. You can find all the design team projects listed on the Designer Crafts Connection website. Gwen Studios products can be found at Walmart and Michaels.
Working with satin ribbon, I cut it into 2″ strips, you’ll need 5-6 of each color. The buttons are from Buttons Galore and More and are used for the center of the flowers. The magnets were found at the Dollar Tree. You will also need a glue gun, not shown in the photo above.
Folding the Ribbon:
The first fold creates a point and the ends of the ribbon align on top of each other.
Using the ends that overlap, you want to pleat the sides into the middle to create the petal and glue it together.
