The Apple Street Cottage shared with us last week a tutorial for this lovely wind chime. I was drawn to the copper color and the wire wrapping.
On to the Party
This is a great opportunity to share your latest blog post, recipe, craft tutorial, or any other creative work you’ve been working on lately. We’re always excited to see what our readers come up with! However, we have a few simple rules to ensure the party runs smoothly.
Here are a few simple rules:
Link to a specific post, not your homepage.
Link up something YOU made/wrote/created.
Giveaways, other link parties, or business links are not accepted.
Don’t link and run. Try to visit at least one link and show them some love. You may make a new friend.
Come share your creative talents with us at Create-it Link Party.
Last week’s Feature
Last week’s feature comes to us from Nutz About Stamping. This card is simply beautiful. Visit her post and follow the tutorial video to see how it was made.

Buttons Galore and More sent me Smiley Buttons to make jewelry. The first piece I made was a bracelet. I didn’t want the buttons to overlap so I had to figure out how to space them. I chose to use silver beads between the buttons.
The stringing material is stretchy so no clasp or closure was needed. I think both the front and back of the bracelet are interesting and could be worn either way.

In celebration of the 20th year of the Distress line that started with a brown, the new color is Scorched Timber. Announced as the last of the Distressed colors, but is it? Reports say this announcement has happened before and then new colors emerge. So I guess only time will tell.
If you are looking to round out your collection or just want to mark off what colors you have, this handy up to date chart is what you need.

Free colored pencil swatching charts and a review of Prang colored pencils from the Dollar Tree. #printable #free
The best way to test any set of colors is to swatch them. I have two swatch charts you can download for free. The first one is for a set of 72 colors, however, it will work for sets smaller than that number as well. I used it to swatch and test the set of 36 Prang colored pencils from the Dollar Tree.
The second chart is more detailed and tests for layering, blending, and color mixing.

The video below shows swatching of the Prang colored pencils and thoughts on how they preform.
