Card Making with Marker Bleeds

Marker bleeding is such a fun and easy technique—perfect for crafting with kids! In this post, we’re taking it to the next level by using the same simple method to create a beautiful card.

You’ll need an image that can absorb the transferred color—I’m using a printed card for this project. If you’re drawing your own design, be sure to use permanent ink so it doesn’t bleed during the process.

After adding swatches of color to the coffee filter, I cut it into small pieces. You could also use tissue paper as an alternative for a similar effect.

A close-up image of the card shows the color bleed and how the finishing card techniques all work together.
