Make a Paper Mobile with Maker’s Movement

With just a few simple materials you can make this beautiful hanging mobile. Today I am working with Maker’s Movement to bring you this tutorial. I just love how it turned out. I have it hanging in the doorway between my living room and dining room. My daughters noticed it and mentioned how pretty it is and the cats noticed it and are deciding whether or not they want to try and play with it!

Materials:

nested die
CrossOver II
coordinating cardstock
adhesive
2 beads
cord
washi tape
scissors

Making Mini Bows for Embellishments

Embellishment costs for crafting can really add up. I enjoy making my own whenever possible, I’ve used quite a few materials from the Dollar Tree, and I have done so in this post as well. You see mini bows in all kinds of crafting, I have found making my own enjoyable and relaxing as well as saves me money. Plus, I can make the bows the size and color I need for my projects.

Making a Mirrored Trivet

This mirror trivet was made using a design piece from Denise Boddey Designs. I am a member of the Denise Boddey design team and I am provided with materials to create this post. When I saw this delicate chipboard piece I had a concept in my mind for placing it on a decorative mirror. The video tutorial will take you through my process.

Materials:

chipboard – Deco Doily Small
Folk Art paint – platinum
foam brush
round mirror
rhinestones
uv resin
epoxy resin
e-6000

Directions:

A few lessons learned and suggestions:

Using both kinds of resin was not necessary.

The epoxy resin took away the bling of the rhinestone facets.

Making Embossed Earrings with Maker’s Movement

I absolutely love the detail in these earrings. I wasn’t sure if I could emboss faux leather but I gave it a try and it turned out fabulously! I stamped an image onto the faux leather, applied embossing powder, and then heat set it. I was really impressed! I actually ended up making two pairs of earrings. Check out the how-to video below.

How to Fold a Cute Mini Basket

These adorable mini baskets are easy and fun to make. They are made from construction paper which is inexpensive however, you could use different paper. I bought my paper at the Dollar Tree, it was the Crayola brand. They would make cute little treat baskets for a wedding or a baby shower. How would you use them? What would you put in them?

Making Napkin Rings from a Soda Can

These beautiful napkin rings are made from a soda can. The can was cut with scissors and the leaf shapes were cut with a die and then colored. This is a great recycle or repurpose project. You can make as many as you need for your table setting and you can make them in different colors depending upon what season you are planning to use them.

These are the four dies that were used from Maker’s Movement.

Directions:
