My go-to printer brand for years has been HP. I also use their ink supply service where I pay a monthly fee and they send me ink cartridges as needed. It comes out to be a lot less money this way. The HP Envy Inspire is a great-priced machine that will produce beautiful prints.

If you are looking for a great crafting-weight paper for printables, I have been using HP Project Paper. It is heavier than copier paper but not quite as heavy as cardstock. It is a great medium weight for layering, folding, and more!

This smooshing technique is such a fun way to add depth to your project! Using plastic to apply the ink gives you more control over where the colors land, creating a beautifully layered effect with minimal effort.

For this week’s tag, I used Distress Oxide ink pads, a piece of packaging plastic, and a bit of water to build up the colorful, layered background. It’s a simple technique that delivers a beautifully organic and textured look!

Embossed Wax Paper

Emboss waxed paper for a unique texture.

This week’s tag showcases a fun wax paper embossing technique that adds subtle texture to the background. It’s paired with a decorative chipboard embellishment layered on a piece of handmade paper for added depth and interest. A simple yet striking combination!

The materials I used to make this tag are pretty simple but the result is stunning.

Sweet Card Making with Penny Black

How to make a sweet card with stamps and dies from Penny Black.

A heartfelt thank you to Penny Black for generously providing the beautiful stamps and dies used in this project. They were the perfect elements for crafting this sweet and charming card, which features a delightful ice cream scoop paired with a delicate flower. Their high-quality products always add just the right touch of elegance and whimsy!

I used Kingart watercolor pencils to bring the stamped images on this card to life. Their smooth application and blendability made it easy to add soft, vibrant color and subtle shading for a beautifully finished look.

Here’s a close-up look at the background, where I used a stencil and baby wipe technique to lift color and create subtle texture. It’s a simple way to add dimension and interest to your card designs!
