Miniature Boxes

Make miniature boxes from recycled toilet paper rolls.

I have a fascination with all kinds of boxes, especially small ones! So when I saw someone crafting little boxes out of toilet paper rolls, I knew I had to give it a try. This is my take on the process, adding my own creative spin to it!

I began with a white toilet paper roll, flattening it to create a sturdy base. Then, I applied sprays of paint directly onto the surface and through a stencil, adding layers of color for a unique effect.

My go-to printer brand for years has been HP. I also use their ink supply service where I pay a monthly fee and they send me ink cartridges as needed. It comes out to be a lot less money this way. The HP Envy Inspire is a great-priced machine that will produce beautiful prints.

If you are looking for a great crafting-weight paper for printables, I have been using HP Project Paper. It is heavier than copier paper but not quite as heavy as cardstock. It is a great medium weight for layering, folding, and more!

Transform a Ceramic Box with Etching

Take a simple ceramic box and give it a stylish upgrade with etchall creme! The vintage heart shape was carefully etched, then colored to complement the gold metal closure, creating an elegant and timeless look. This personalized piece would make a stunning gift for someone special.

I designed and cut the vinyl heart using a Cricut Maker, then carefully applied it to the top of the ceramic box. Folding the vinyl in half before placing it helped ensure perfect alignment.

Amazing Resist Tag

What a stunning effect using DIY resist spray.

Resist spray and Lisa Horton’s Color Explosion Powders combined to create a stunning effect on our Tag it Tuesday project. I am absolutely thrilled with the result!

I used two shades of Color Explosion on top of a stenciled resist image, creating a vibrant and dynamic effect full of colorful depth.

Heart Patches Transformed to Ephemera

Making a paperclip from ribbon and patches.

I used Gwen Studios heart patches and ribbon to create this adorable paperclip, and I absolutely love the result! This charming embellishment can be used in so many ways—perfect for planners, journals, bookmarks, or even as a decorative touch for gift packaging.

Any patch with a mirrored image would work perfectly for this project, allowing for a balanced and symmetrical design on both sides of the paperclip.
