My go-to printer brand for years has been HP. I also use their ink supply service where I pay a monthly fee and they send me ink cartridges as needed. It comes out to be a lot less money this way. The HP Envy Inspire is a great-priced machine that will produce beautiful prints.

If you are looking for a great crafting-weight paper for printables, I have been using HP Project Paper. It is heavier than copier paper but not quite as heavy as cardstock. It is a great medium weight for layering, folding, and more!

Kitchen Conversion Cutting Board

How to etch a glass cutting board with etchall creme.

I’ve always wanted a kitchen conversion chart, so I decided to turn a cutting board into one. The smooth back of the Dollar Tree cutting board seemed perfect for etching with etchall creme. However, I struggled a bit with cutting out the measurements in vinyl, so I opted to apply them directly with vinyl instead.

Before any etching or vinyl project, I clean non-porous surfaces with rubbing alcohol.

I cut the vinyl on a Cricut Maker and mirrored the image since I was working on the back of the glass cutting board.

I created the graphic as a one-and-done but since I was having trouble with weeding the measurements, I recut the image and separated them to be placed in vinyl after etching the title and shapes.

I generously covered the vinyl in etchall creme. Working on a flat surface was nice, and reminded me of icing a cake. You can be generous with etchall because it is reusable.

After 15 minutes, it is time to remove the creme and place it back into the bottle. Then you want to wash the surface. Since I don’t have a sink in my studio, I use a baby wipe to remove all the excess creme and then the vinyl.

The etching came out nice. I knew I still needed to add the measurements in vinyl so I wanted to enhance the etching.

I chose a dark buffing wax to color the etched areas. The thin lines in the shapes turned out well so the measurements would have too if I wasn’t having trouble weeding them.

Tag It Tuesday Birthday Edition

Inspired by a sticker, make a Birthday Tag for Tag it Tuesday.

A sticker inspired this week’s tag tutorial. I chose materials that matched the color scheme to build the tag. Open the tag to write a special greeting.

Tag it Tuesday

This week’s tag tutorial is more about the technique than the final tag. The results are always amazing but often surprising. This is one of my favorite techniques. Today we are using it on photo paper.

You probably already know that Distress Oxides react with water. However, the results can be different when using a wet baby wipe.

Here you can see the finished technique before I cut it into a tag.

Try this technique on different paper surfaces to get different results. They will all be interesting. I find the soap in the baby wipes creates color shifts that plain water doesn’t.

Pumpkin Button Card Diy – Easy Fall Craft!

The materials used to make this pumpkin card are simple: a textured button, a pit pen in black, two colors of cardstock, Distress Oxide ink, an ink dobber, a small piece of curled ribbon, and a small snip of pipe cleaner in green.
