Embossing

This embossed paper tag tells a story of attention to detail. Whether adorning a beautifully wrapped present, adding flair to your junk journal or scrapbook, or enhancing your crafting projects, this embossed tag is a testament to the art of elevating the ordinary into something extraordinary.

While this tag uses a variety of different materials, it came together quickly.

How to Etch a Glass Bottle

We have a few of these glass soap bottles that we use for dish soap and hand soap. We needed a way to tell them apart from each other. Etching the glass with etchall creme was the best solution. Learn how easy it is to etch glass with etchall creme.

The materials you need aren’t a lot. The etchall creme, a squeegee/scraper, vinyl, transfer film, the glass surface to etch, rubbing alcohol, and baby wipes.

Using a Cricut Maker, I cut the above graphic into the vinyl. If you would like the SVG file I am sharing it below.

After cutting the vinyl, I transferred it to the glass bottle. Then I weeded away the part I wanted to etch.

Making sure the vinyl is down on the glass well with no air bubbles, it is time to put the etching creme onto the design. It only takes 15 minutes to etch the glass.

Don’t forget to remove the creme and put it back into the container because it is reusable.

Then clean your project getting it ready to use. The video tutorial below shows you step-by-step how I etched my bottle.

Don’t forget to clean your glass surface before you begin your project. Using Rubbing Alcohol is the best way to make sure the glass is really clean.

Tag it Tuesday – making a tag with alcohol ink markers. #tagittuesday

I started this series calling it Tag it Tuesday. I’m wondering if I should have called it Technique Tuesday since I am trying to use a different technique each week! anyway…

This week’s tag is made using alcohol ink markers. I first stamped an image with dye ink and then colored it in. To finish the tag off, I chose to ink blend around the edges of the tag.
