Thanksgiving Day Card

Let’s make a fun Thanksgiving Day card. #affiliate @cutcardstock @DCC @gwenstudios

final turkey card

Combining card stock and ribbon makes a fun and wonky turkey card for Thanksgiving. Do you know someone who would enjoy this card? It is really fun to make. Changing the placement of the different elements will adjust the final look making it uniquely yours. The turkey could also make a fun framed piece or kid’s craft.

This card was made as a part of the CutCardStock and Gwen Studios design team. You can find many more Gwen Studio creations at the Designer Craft Connection site.

basis folded card

The colors I chose to work with are all from the Basis line and they are weighted at 80# cover and come in a variety of different colors. The folded card is also Basis and comes in different sizes: 4″ x 6″, A2, A1, A6, 5″ x 7″, and table tent. Cutting this file on a Cricut Maker, I set it to cut 100# cardstock.

materials

All the pieces are cut and ready to assemble. The Gwen Studios grosgrain ribbon was cut to 4″ in length. You can find Gwen Studios products at Walmart and Michaels.

The ribbon was added to the card front first and the turkey elements were glued together separately.

Foam tape is added to the body of the turkey.

From this angle, you can see the dimension and the googly eyes. The turkey’s body is applied at a slight angle and held in place with the foam tape.

October Box

I am so excited every month when my Simply Earth box arrives. It seems like each box is better than the last. This month’s box is focused on home remedies. All the materials and simple directions are included. This box retails for $211.29 but you can get it for just about $45. Be sure to use my discount code: TRYITFREE.

oils

The full-sized oils that are included this month are Relief, Copaiba, Cajeput, and Bergamont.

The recipes included in the October box are:

  • Comfort Compress
  • Muscle Tamer Massage Bar
  • Sports Relief Lotion
  • Home Remedy Diffuser Blend
  • Happy Feet Foot Soak
  • Mover Soother Roll-On

One of the biggest differences I find with Simply Earth is the monthly recipes. In the past, I have ordered essential oils and when they arrive, I don’t remember what they do or why I ordered them. The Simply Earth recipe box contains the recipes for the oils included in the box as well as necessary additional support products to make the recipes.
