Make a cardholder with this free SVG file. Great for gift cards, business cards, credit cards, money…
with Cutcardstock
Cutcardstock’s featured theme this month is silver or gold. Anytime I can create with the Stardream line, I jump at the chance. It is my favorite cardstock, the shine is just beautiful. This month I created an SVG file to make a cardholder. You could use it for business cards, credit cards, gift card giving, money, or special notes.
To make the cardholder I used Gold Stardream in 8.5 x 11. I needed to use cardstock that was colored on both sides because they are both seen in this project.
Cutting this file on a Cricut Maker, I set it to cut 100# cardstock and cut it twice. Remember to set the red lines to score before cutting the file.
Each fold has two score lines. Fold both. This gives the cardholder a bit of depth to be able to hold multiple cards or a thick gift card. Double-sided tape was used to seal the sides together.

The inside of the cardholder has two sections for storage and folds shut to keep the contents secure and in place.

Combine resin and cardstock for quick and easy earrings.
Combine cardstock and resin to make a pair of fabulous earrings. I have created a free printable inchie sheet of marbled circular designs for crafting. The first project I made using them was this pair of earrings. You-V resin, a quick-drying resin, made this project quick and easy.

I punched out circles using a 1″ paper punch using the printable and solid cardstock. Gluing the blue and the marbled circles together helped add thickness and a bit of weight to the earrings. Resin covers both sides of the glued circles.
Drilling small holes into the resined papers was done to add the ear wires. See the entire video below for the complete tutorial and tips.

The finished earrings in hand also show the shine from the resin and the finished size. This marble pattern suits a variety of different colors found in your wardrobe.

A review of a set of ink blending brushes found on Amazon.
Ink blending brushes are a great tool to have in your crafting arsenal. I wonder if it matters to the brand if they work well? To date, I have been using cosmetic brushes. I recently found this affordable set on Amazon. It includes 5 color-coded brushes and a stand.
The brushes appeared to be similar to the cosmetic brush I had been using. The size and construction were the same. The difference is the color of the handle and the color of the bristles. The brush head did seem to be a bit more compact but I can’t completely consider that as a difference due to the possibility of the use of my brush causing the difference.

This set is the basic colored set but there is also a dark color set available.
Make an embossed greeting card with products from Emerald Creek.
with Emerald Creek
I created this Enjoy greeting card using beautiful embossing powder and paper from Emerald Creek. While attending a dinner with fellow designers this summer in Orlando, we were gifted products from some of our favorite brands. I used some of those items gifted from Emerald Creek to make this card.

I was inspired to create this card by combining embossing powder, cardstock, and a stamp from Emerald Creek. Some of the parts I prepared off-camera, like embossing the black cardstock and die cutting the Rinea Foiled Paper. The video tutorial below will show how all these parts come together in one beautiful card.
