Layered Butterfly SVG and Card

As a part of the CutCardStock design team, I made this layered butterfly card with a free SVG download file for you. @cutcardstock #affiliate

Today I have a tutorial post up on the CutCardStock blog as a part of their 2021 design team. I started making the layered butterfly and then decided to turn it into a greeting card. I really like how it turned out.

Distressed Ink

Nuvo Shimmer powder

I used a Cricut Maker to cut the butterfly layers. I will list the free download file below.

If you are looking for a good deal, the Cricut Joy has dropped to possibly the most affordable price. It is available for a limited time at $139.99. This price is good until 4/17. The Maker is also on sale but sold out at Cricut. You can still find it on Amazon for $299.00. These prices are the lowest we’ve seen in a while. I guess there is no surprise that the Maker is sold out on Cricut. You might want to grab one soon, no telling how long they will last at this price.

Liquitex Pour Medium Comparison

I tested out the three different Liquitex pour mediums. You can see how they compare. @liquitex #sponsored

Talking with Liquitex at Creativation+ I was excited to hear about their pouring mediums. They have three different versions gloss, iridescent, and matte. Within a few days, Liquitex sent me samples to use. So before using them, I wanted to test out their differences. Here’s the test I am sharing it with you.

The next thing I did was try a small pour painting with the Iridescent pour medium. I am happy to report that the pearliness of the pouring medium did show up more in the painting than it did in the sample pour.
