Kawaii Face Mask

These face masks from Blippo are so kawaii (cute)!

I was contacted a while back by Blippo and asked if I would like to review their kawaii face masks. I have daughters who love most things kawaii so my answer was a quick and easy most definitely! They didn’t arrive right away and I kind of forgot about it because I wasn’t sure we would actually get the product to review, there was a limited amount being offered.

Meaning:

ka·waii/kəˈwī,’käˌwīˌē

adjective
(in the context of Japanese popular culture) cute.
“she paints elephants that are extremely kawaii”

noun
the quality of being cute, or items that are cute.
“even in a cosmopolitan city like Tokyo, kawaii is everywhere”

Well, the masks arrived yesterday and my daughters were so excited! I think it was the highlight of their day. We immediately opened them and tried them on.

They fit well and they are cute. Look at all those little kawaii images. The masks are very similar to the bland medical blue masks. The kawaii masks have the same material, and elastic, and metal in the nose area – but so much cuter!

This week the girls are actually schooling online due to an outbreak of the virus in their school. Surprisingly, they are excited to get back to in-person classes so they can wear their new masks!

Will You Shop Target Black Friday Deals?

Will you be shopping black friday? Here are some products that caught my eye in the Target Black Friday ad.

We are a technology family both for work and enjoyment. I can’t say we always have the newest up to date items, nor do we rush out and buy the fresh upgraded products but we do use our technology well.

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Slickdeals.
All opinions are my own.

Echo Dot:

On Prime day I ordered five Echo dots for our house. Two are still on backorder until mid-December. Looking through the Target Black Friday ad, they have them for the same price and actually in stock. I am thinking of grabbing the two I need and canceling my order with Amazon.

Some other tech items we are looking into updating are two laptops (a pc and a mac) and possibly a cell phone (iphone). My daughters want iPads for Christmas so I am also following to see what deals might be found for any of these items.

iPad:

Target has the new Apple iPad 10.2-inch Wi-Fi Only (8th Generation) and it appears to be priced at $100 off retail price. So that seems like a good deal especially since I am seeking to purchase two of them.

iphones are available at Target and there are a few listed in their Black Friday ad. I have an iphone 8 plus and I am not completely sure what version I would upgrade too but I do know I need more storage.

The new Mac Book Pro with the M1 chip is something I am interested in. I wonder if Target will be carrying it as well. The price listed at Apple seem reasonable, the only hold back for me is it is only being offered in a 13″ laptop from what I can see. I would prefer a larger screen if possible.

PowerXL:

PowerXL 6qt Indoor Grill and Air Fryer in silver is available on sale as well. A recent video ad peeked my interested although I don’t know a lot about the PowerXL. I have an InstantPot but I have never been that successful in using mine so I am curious if an indoor grill might work better for us. I see that Target has InstantPots on sale again this year as well along with the popular Air Fryers.

One of the most intriguing things I found in the Target Black Friday ad was the RedCard deal. Apply for a RedCard and upon approval, get $40 off on a future qualifying purchase over $40. And we all know that spending over $40 isn’t hard to do at Target! This offer is available 11/1 – 12/26.

So I wonder, “What in the Target Black Friday ad has gained your interest?”

Snowflake Place Cards

Making beautiful place cards with Cut Cardstock linen card stock.

As a part of the CutCardStock design team, I am sharing a free SVG file to make these beautiful snowflake place cards.

Visit the CutCardStock blog to see all the fun and creative posts made with cardstock.

Cutting Tip: To cut the card stock on the Cricut Maker, use the 100-pound card stock setting and adjust the cut to more. Then cut the card stock twice. After the first cut and before removing the mat, hit the Cricut cut button again.

Religious Gift for Girls

This illustrated Bible makes for a beautiful gift for girls.

I am so happy to review this great Bible gift. It is appropriate for girls age 8 – 12. If you know a girl like my daughters, it is easier for them to listen and follow along in church if they are doodling or coloring. Now they can do so with an even more focused purpose.

  • Beautiful Bible, sticker sheets, and coloring pencil
  • Included are pencils to color, blend, and shade the detailed line art surrounding hundreds of inspiring verses.
  • A cherished keepsake, full of personalized creative expressions of faith.
  • Over 600 verses illustrated in ready-to-color line art
  • Satin ribbon marker

Hello Sign with Denise Boddey

Follow along with my as I design a plaque inspired by a mood board.

This month as part of the Denise Boddey design team we were challenged to work with a mood board. I have seen mood boards before but I have never worked using one as inspiration for a design.

mood board

The above mood board is what we were provided, aren’t the colors beautiful! You can see that I worked more with the three colors on the left side, the second image down from the top. These were colors of items I already had on hand.

Materials:

  • wood plaque
  • mod podge
  • Denise Boddey card topper
  • Prima flowers
  • diy flowers
  • Cricut Maker
  • cardstock
  • fabri-tac
  • silk ribbon
  • Denise Boddey foliage chipboard
  • foam brush
  • craft knife

Optional:

  • Embelli gelli
  • tweezers

Directions:

Cricut Maker

To begin I used my Cricut Maker to cut out the word hello three times from blue cardstock. The reason for three times was to add some height to the word when placed on the plaque. Once cut out, I glued the three layers together.

This is How I Re-stick my Craft Mats

Learn how easily I re-stick my craft mat.

I want my craft mats to last as long as possible. I have read a lot of tutorials on what people use and what they say not to use. And yes, I have tried a number of their ideas. What I have found works best for me was already sitting on my craft table and I didn’t even know it until now. See how I restick my craft mats using the Best Glue Ever from ScraPerfect.

I have a post on their blog today as a part of the ScraPerfect design team. [re-stick my mat]
