I have a springtime gift tag tutorial up on the ScraPerfect blog today. I am a member of their design team and share posts twice a month. Here is a link to the tutorial: [spring tag] To create the tag I used a number of different products, they are all linked below for your convenience and include affiliate links.
For this project, you will need one piece of copy paper cut in a square. Mine was 5″ but any size will work. These are fun to fold and then the result is fun to play with. It can also be a good stress reliever. Try making them in different sizes and try spinning them with each hand. You will find that one hand can spin it better than the other.
This month over on the Rinea Blog, I am sharing a stamping technique using the new Ghost Ink 2.0. My video tutorial shares how the Ghost Ink works as well as a technique I am showing stamping on top of it.

These paper flowers make great decor pieces. Consider making one for your mother for Mother’s Day. I am sure she will be surprised and cherish it. You can add a stem and leaves if you desire, or use it at a place setting, or in a glass at the dinner table. They look really detailed but are rather simple to make. I bet you will not stop at just making one once you learn how.
Materials:
4 square pieces of paper (mine were 5″ squares)
scissors
craft glue
pencil
optional – watercolors and liquid dye
Directions:
If necessary, cut your paper into squares before we begin.

Here is the final flower with a bit of watercolor marker added by watering it down with a water brush pen to the petals.
What a fun set of dog stickers. Each one has it’s own personality. You can download and print these out on sticker paper. They work great with the print and cut feature with Cricut Design Space. Just click the button below to download the free PDF file.
Today I have a post on the ScraPerfect blog sharing how to make faux foam tape. The card above uses it to lift the sentiment up from the card. The card also includes a mini embroidery piece.
Here is the rough sketch for the embroidery work. You can download a PDF pattern with stitches indicated by clicking on the image above.
The french knots and flower petals use 6 strand embroidery thread, all other stitches use 2 strands.
This video tutorial shares how to fold a paper ball, about the size of a baseball, from one sheet of paper. The sheet of paper is cut down into three strips of paper that get intertwined with each other. The materials used are simple but the result is really dynamic. Once you make one, you will want to do it again! The paper balls are fun to play with or to use a decoration. Run a string through them and you can hang them in the doorway or make a few and put them in a glass jar.
Materials:
printed out template
scissors
scoring tool (knitting needle, butter knife, a pen with no ink…)
tape
Directions:
To begin you will need to print out your chosen template from the variety offered below. If you choose the blank design or the coloring design, you will need to color those first before you proceed with the video tutorial.
