Review and Giveaway :: The Sparkle Box Children's Book

November 12, 2013
I love the idea of a sparkle box for Christmas. Placing a box under the tree to capture notes of how you shared the spirit of Christmas with unselfish giving, sharing, kindness and volunteering during the holiday season. I say why not take it one step further and use your sparkle box the entire year. What a great blessing it would be to review a years worth of giving in honor of Jesus Christ and a great lesson for your children to see what one family can do given 365 days to make a difference. What a great tradition to start right now!!!

We can sparkle by sharing with community outreach groups to help others.

We always "adopt" an elderly person through our local church. A local nursing home submits the names of their residents who are not very well off financially, and they list several items that they want or need. We buy a few of those items and give them to the church to distribute to the person.

I help make quilts for children in crisis or in need.

We are taking some of our grandchildren to help shop for a boy & girl in their age range for operation Christmas child.

We have already done an Operation Christmas Child Box, and plan on adopting a foster child for Christmas.

I have been writing out Christmas/Holiday cards for Active Duty Military personnel, & sending them off thru a special address: Holiday Mail for Heros, P>O> Box 5456, Capitol Heights, MD 20791-5456 / Thanks for the chance, this looks like a wonderful book!!!!

I am going to get books to give. :)

My family hosts a giant Thanksgiving Potluck for people in my church who have no where else to go.

Our neighbors don't have any family left so we will visit and take a meal to them on Thanksgiving.

we are donating items for Christmas for seniors at a local nursing home and a shoe box for Christmas for a needy child
