Beaded Bracelet

September 15, 2015

Girls Beaded Bracelet was made using beads from a bead kit from the dollar store. The dollar store is a great place to find glass beads in a color palette that works together. The down side is that these beads aren't first run beads meaning they are not perfectly round. They work fine for beading so long as you don't use them in an over complicated pattern. This simple pattern works great and looks fantastic when finished. This drop bead pattern would work equally well for a necklace.

Materials:

  • Beads in three different colors
  • Thread
  • Beading Needle
  • Scissors
  • Clasp

Instructions:

I have a free downloadable pattern for this bracelet. [pattern] It is often easier to see how to bead then to explain. The printable show the pattern and threading for the bracelet. Make sure you leave enough thread at the end if you plan to add the clasp at the end of your project. Otherwise, tie onto one part of the clasp first and then begin beading. Once you achieve your desired length, tie off on the other part of the clasp.

A few tips:

  • Thread the ends of the excess thread back through the bracelet before cutting off any excess.
  • This pattern would also work well as a stretch bracelet with no clasp.
  • Run your thread through bees wax to control frizzing.
